Klesse Architects AIA is an award-winning design firm based in Short Hills, New Jersey. The firm, which began in 1994, specializes in residential architecture.

Since its foundation, the firm has specialized in designing new homes, designing small to large additions for existing homes, given careful attention to detail work on historical homes and done design work on interiors.

Klesse Architects is committed to tailoring design solutions that meet the needs of clients. Klesse has always believed that the time spent up front in discussion between architect and client is the most valuable. It is at this early touch point that much is learned about needs and expectations. While the firm is generous with ideas, the firm also realizes that listening at this point is an art...an art that is practiced carefully.

A talented design and technical staff prides itself on meticulous attention to detail. The technical backgrounds of staff ensures integrity of design though out the construction phase (see section titled Phases).

Mission

We believe that Klesse Architects is unique as a professional service company in that we can summarize our Mission statement or Value Proposition in only two words — "We listen".

While our firm has strong opinions, years of training and professional experience, codified methodologies and a high level of artistic aesthetics, the difference is: "we listen".
